Runner -- A Desktop Alternative
Copyright (C) 1990 by Dave Thorson
Obscure Help Summary Version 1.22, February 8, 1990
Please read the RUNNER.TXT file for more details -- this help file
does not cover everything about Runner, only some of the less
obvious stuff you might have trouble remembering at first.
RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON:
1) From Runner's main screen, takes you to the top level menu.
2) In the Add/Change dialogue box, it exits the same as Return.
3) In file view it exits back to the file selector.
ALTERNATE KEY:
1) When Runner starts to load, hold down to prevent a picture from
loading.
2) Hold down when selecting a new palette to use the new colors
for running programs AND the background picture.
3) Hold down when selecting a file that would otherwise activate
an installed application to simply view the file.
ADD/CHANGE DIALOGUE BOX:
1) Press Return or right mouse button to exit and keep changes.
2) Press Esc key to clear the description. If no description is
entered, programs use their default description (filename with
no extension). Menus are not added or changed by Esc key.

chosen this way. Example: L for Load Config, G for backGround.
MOUSE SHAPES
1) Pointing Hand: You've been in the GEM menu bar area; clicking
on a menu item normally returns hand to arrow. If you choose
not to select a menu item, click once away from selectables.
2) Busy Bee: Patience please. File loading or color change delay.
3) Arrow: Normal mode, anything can be selected.
